Ever fancied taking that next step and really improving in your freestyle snowboarding? can you link your turns, and have you popped your first 'ollie'? If so, Ride & Slide Freestyle Camps in association with Our Camp could be just the thing for you. Designed to be fun, informative, fun, and most of all fun!, our week long camps are run for people who want to improve in their freestyle snowboarding. The camps are aimed at riders looking to develop their skills whether it is making your first jumps in the board park, venturing into the halfpipe and superpipes, or moving on to bigger and better things. We can offer either week long camps, or new for winter 07/08 and exclusive to guests of Ride & Slide we can now offer a flexible 'day-camp' package. You can book as many days tuition as you would like, so even on a 'normal' weeks holiday you can spend a day or two learning new skills Coaching will be provided by some of the top British female pro riders - Gilly Seagrave, Emma-lea Rogers, Sonia Shaw, who will be joined on the mixed camps by some of their male team mates. There will be group coaching (no more than 5 pupils to one coach) and video analysis of boarding techniques. A typical days coaching: A coaching day will start at 10am at the top of the gondola and will begin with a warm-up run, or two to get your legs working for the day. Then it'll be off to the pipe or park, in groups of similar ability and interest, e.g. pipe, straight jumps and spinning, rails and boxes. The maximum group size will be 5 students to one instructor, ensuring you get the most out of your time. In the afternoon there'll be a stop for a lunch break then to the park for jump and rail/box sessions. The coaching on the mountain will end at about 4.00pm giving you time for one quick run before finding the nearest bar, (unless your legs decide they have had enough earlier that is!) So how good do I need to be? DON'T WORRY! To get the most out of the camp coaching you will only need to be able to comfortably link your turns on your snowboard. It would also help if you're already comfortable with 'popping an olly'. You don't need to have experienced parks, pipes, jumps, boxes, or rails before, there will be different groups within the camp whatever your ability level. So What's Included? - 7 nights luxury accommodation What's the price? Our week long camps cost €920 euros. For the day-camps, you pay the cost or a normal weeks holiday (take a look on our prices page or contact us for details of these), plus the following charge per day for 6 hours freestyle coaching with OurCamp: 1 person: €100 euros So if there are 5 of you, this brings the cost of a days freestlye coaching down to just €60 euros each! How do I book? Firstly, please contact us to confirm availability. We'll then confirm the details to you and you'll just need to complete our booking form and pay your deposit. If you have any questions or queries about the camp please contact us. |
